Scones

3 cups plain flour
6 tsp baking powder - I wonder if I could just go SR flour
1/2 tsp salt
75g butter
1 to 1.5 cups of milk

Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Cut butter in until it resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add milk and mix quickly with a knife to soft dough. Knead a few times. Lightly dust an oven tray with flour. Press scone dough out onto this. Cut into 12 even sized pieces. Leave a 2cm space between scones. Brush tops with milk. Bake at 220 degrees celsius for 10 mins or until golden brown. Makes 12... Can vary using cheese, dates and Sultanas!
